“Regional subdivisions of the State Environmental inspectorate will be liquidated. And that’s great news!”, – the head of the State Environmental inspectorate of Ukraine, Andriy Malevany said on September 10th.

The relevant resolution was adopted at the Government of Ukraine session on September 9, 2020 (Resolution No. 802). According to the document, the District departments of the State Environmental inspectorate (hereinafter the “SEI”) will be created instead of the regional departments. Some of the units will be liquidated, some will be united.

GENERAL PROVISIONS

► The territorial divisions of the State Environmental Inspectorate are being liquidated in Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Kirovograd, Nikolaev, Odessa and Kherson regions.

► The following interregional territorial divisions of the State Environmental Inspectorate are formed:

  • SEI of the Dnieper district (Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovograd regions)
  • SEI of the Southern District (Zaporozhye and Kherson regions)
