NEW UN ENVIRONMENTAL HOLIDAY
An ecological holiday that the world celebrates for the first time on September 7, 2020 – “International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies”
The holiday was founded by the UN General Assembly on December 19 last year and is intended to draw attention to the problem of preserving the environment.
The outcome document “The Future We Want”, created at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, contains a commitment by countries to promote sustainable development strategies to maintain good air quality in the context of sustainable cities and human settlements.
The main goal of a conscientious society regarding the state of the air, to which our project also strives, is the prevention and reduction of air pollution in order to improve its quality on a global scale. The UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development underscores the importance of air pollution abatement for the Sustainable Development Goals. It also sets out an action plan to achieve the goal of sustainable development, environmental protection and prosperity for all.
Team joins the celebration and does everything in our power to ensure that air quality monitoring in Ukraine and the world is convenient, accessible and gives interested citizens the opportunity to influence harmful emissions and other sources of air pollution through an open system of petitions/complaints/claims and the like.
