In early 2023, something unexpected happened. Researchers and early-stage startup partners from Japan reached out to us — they had discovered YourAirTest and wanted to learn more about our air quality monitoring platform. For a small Ukrainian startup working through wartime conditions, this was a powerful moment of validation.
Why This Matters
When you’re building something meaningful in the middle of a war, every sign of international interest reminds you why you keep going. Japan — a country that deeply understands environmental monitoring after Fukushima — saw potential in what we were creating. That connection meant the world to our team.
We created this video overview specifically for our Japanese partners and friends, to share our vision in their language. Because when someone across the globe believes in your mission, the least you can do is speak their language.
Our Video: A Call for Partnership
This video is more than a product demo. It’s an invitation. We believe that environmental challenges — air pollution, wildfires, radiation risks — don’t recognize borders. Solutions shouldn’t either.

In the video, we share:
- Our story — how a Ukrainian startup grew from a university project into a platform used by emergency responders
- Our mission — making air quality data accessible to everyone, everywhere
- Our call — we’re looking for scientific partners, technology collaborators, and kindred spirits who share our passion for clean air and public safety
Building Bridges, Not Walls
Since our founding, we’ve believed that the best environmental solutions come from collaboration. Our journey has been shaped by partnerships across borders:
- French scientists who helped us validate our weather model on the coast of the English Channel
- Czech environmental organizations who shared their monitoring expertise
- Cloud computing support from Amazon Web Services that kept our servers running
- And now — interest from the Japanese scientific community
Each of these connections started with a simple message: “We saw what you’re doing. Can we help?”
